Partner Organizations
The Vibration Institute recognizes the following organizations certification(s) as a pre-requisite to sit for the next level/category of certified vibration analyst examination offered by the Vibration Institute:
• British Institute for Non-Destructive Testing (BINDT)
• Canadian Machinery Vibration Association (CMVA)
• Japan Society of Mechanical Engineers (JSME)
• Korean Society for Noise & Vibration Engineering (KSNVE)
British Institute for Non-Destructive Testing
The British Institute of NDT (BINDT) is the professional institute for all those engaged in non-destructive testing and condition monitoring. It is concerned with the education and training of its members, and the advancement of the science and practice of the subject.
The primary objective of the Institute is to promote and advance the science and practice of non-destructive testing, condition monitoring, diagnostic engineering and all other materials and quality testing disciplines.
The PCN (Personnel Certification in Non-Destructive Testing) Scheme is a flexible, reliable and cost-effective method of satisfying NDT personnel qualification and certification and quality management systems requirements. PCN was the first fully accredited personnel certification scheme under EN473. It is setting industry standards in the UK and displaying a leading role within Europe and worldwide.
The Certification Services Division of the Institute supports the PCN Scheme. The British Institute of NDT is accredited by the United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS).

Canadian Machinery Vibration Association
The Canadian Machinery Vibration Association (CMVA/ACVM) is a non-profit association whose fields of interest include machinery dynamics and all aspects of condition monitoring and predictive maintenance of machinery, especially vibration monitoring and analysis.
CMVA objectives include:
• Advance scientific, engineering, and technical knowledge in the fields of interest;
• Gather and share information relating to the fields of interest which are useful to the individual and
beneficial to the general public;
• Encourage the development and application of the fields of interest through presentations, discussions, publications, courses of instruction, personnel certification or other means; and
• Encourage the development and application of Canadian and international standards of practice for the fields of interest and for personnel certification.

The Society for Machinery Failure Prevention Technology
The Society for Machinery Failure Prevention Technology (MFPT Society) is a division of the Vibration Institute and an interdisciplinary technical organization dedicated to exchanging information and practical applications that reduce the incidence of mechanical failures, resulting in improved reliability, greater safety and economic savings.
Comprised of international scientists, engineers, failure analysts, maintenance specialists and other professional disciplines, MFPT members exchange information through its annual conference and other symposia, seminars and short courses. Additionally, MFPT shares information with members through technical papers, newsletters and e-mail.
