Title: “Gear Vibration”
Presenter: Ed Martin, Lufkin Industries, LLC
Ed Martin has worked at Lufkin Industries for 27 years resolving gearbox related issues. Mr. Martin will be presenting a topic on gearbox vibration, utilizing his experience troubleshooting gearboxes with Lufkin Industries.
He is currently the engineering manager in the Power Transmission Division of Lufkin Industries, LLC. in Lufkin, Texas. He also performs lateral rotor dynamic analyses and has been heavily involved in troubleshooting gear vibration, noise, and temperature problems during his career with Lufkin. . He received a BS degree (mechanical engineering, 1990) from the University of Texas at Austin. Ed has given numerous presentations on gearing principles and vibration issues. He is also an active member of the AGMA 6011 committee on high speed helical gearing.
