Call for Nominations: Applications Due September 9, 2016

You can be an integral part of helping the Institute advance its mission to disseminate practical information on evaluating machinery behavior and condition without commercial interest. With many changes and new initiatives on the horizon, the Vibration Institute needs and welcomes the enthusiastic participation of its members on the Board of Directors.

The duties of the Vibration Institute Board of Directors shall include but not be limited to decisions on policy; fiscal, program, and staff oversight; election of officers; and service on committees.

Directors elected by the membership shall have the right to vote on all policy matters.

A member of the Board of Directors may resign at any time. Directors must be members of the corporation.

The Institute’s Board of Directors is an active and engaged group that makes a difference! Five (5) seats are open on the 2017 Board.

Terms are three (3) years, and a member may serve consecutive terms. Members elected this year will serve on the board from January 1, 2017 to December 31, 2019.

Complete and submit a Nominee Application no later than September 9, 2016 to mlong@vi-institute.org. Use “Board Nomination” as the subject line of your email. Keep in mind that your application may be shared with all Institute members should you make the

Requirements:

Applicants shall be a member in good standing. They shall sign a Board Member Agreement which sets forth legal and moral responsibilities. They shall chair or be an active member of at least one committee. They shall attend four annual meetings (two in person, and two via electronic means). For more information, visit the Vibration Institute website.
