This video really highlights a number of accomplishments and events that took place this year!
First, I have a number of shout outs…. to the VI Staff and Board of Directors for their hard work and support of our organization!
As an organization we participated in a number of events this year, several which were new for us! We attended our Technical Partner events – Hydraulic Institute, Texas A&M Turbopump Symposium, and EASA. To learn more about our Technical Partners, click HERE. We also attended the Canadian Machinery Vibration Association Conference in Niagara Falls, and events with Empowering Pumps in the Industry. We truly appreciate our partnerships with these organizations!
I’m sure you’re all aware that our office MOVED from Oak Brook, IL to Naperville IL (less than 20 miles west) in June. Moving isn’t fun for anyone whether it’s your home or office, but we’ve been happily settled in our new home since June. If you’re ever in the area, we’d love for you to stop by sometime to see it!
Our annual training conference took place in Savannah, Georgia in August with a Technical Program led by Past President, Bob Sayer. It was nice to see our biggest event close to “normal” for us again with an increase in attendance from last year in Arlington, Texas. We thank all attendees, vendors and sponsors for your participation this year!
Shortly after conference, we kicked off our FIRST Online Training Course with the assistance of our new Technical Director of Online Learning, Dr. Austin Creasy. Our CAT II is fully online and available for residents in the US and Canada at this time. Please keep an eye on that page in 2023 as we continue to add other courses to be available virtually.
Our Technical Director of Training, Mr Jack Peters created our new course Vibration Analysis Overview (VAO) for those who are seeking knowledge of Vibration, but not looking to get certified. I’m looking forward to my staff and I taking that course in the upcoming year to better assist all of you!
In October we held a Midwest Chapter Mini-Conference in Sandusky, Ohio – we had a lot of great speakers and very thankful to our sponsors at this event as well!

We have a lot of exciting things in store in 2023 as the Vibration Institute is celebrating our 50th Anniversary! Our big celebration will take place at our Annual Training Conference in July in Niagara Falls!
