The Vibration Institute is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the dissemination of practical information on evaluating machine behavior, particularly concerning the science of vibration and acoustic analysis and measurement. Vibration Institute will offer an Academic/Research.

Track at the 2018 Annual Training Conference. This track will be dedicated to papers and student posters sharing research, student projects, and instructional practices. In addition to Academic/Research Track papers and posters, the 2018 Annual Training Conference will include industry papers, vendor exhibits, panel presentations, keynote lectures, and professional short courses.

Student posters will be displayed at the evening reception, Wednesday July 18. Poster abstracts of up to 400 words are due March 30, with abstract acceptance notification by April 24. (Posters will not have corresponding proceedings papers. Students will have the option of giving a brief poster presentation during the Academic/Research Track sessions).

Special conference pricing of $350 for the entire three-day conference is available to all faculty and student participants with a valid educational institution e-mail address. This includes publication costs, admittance to all conference sessions, exhibits, continental breakfasts, breaks, lunches and social functions. The registration fee does not include admittance to pre-conference workshops. Limited student sponsorship is available to defray conference costs.

"Submission Process: Submit a poster abstract of up to 400 words as a PDF file with name(s) and affiliation(s) on a separate front page to Prof. Nancy Denton, dentonnl@purdue.edu by midnight EST on February 28, 2018. Abstract acceptance notification will occur by March 30. Each poster will be allotted an easel that can support a poster with dimensions of up to 2’ by 4’ (610 mm x 1220 mm) and a small round table for display items (estimated diameter of 30” or 760 mm).
