committees

The academic committee is populated by Vibration Institute members that are affiliated or interact with education/academia.  The committee supports student members, professors, and those who work in academia through the development of member benefits and services designed to meet their specific needs and advance their careers.

The committee also:

• Identifies speakers and moderators for educational programs within the Institute
• Develops the academic track for the Vibration Institute Annual Training Conference each year.
• Develops education resources for members engaged in research

• Identify needs of members and cooperate with the Manager of Operations, Membership Specialist and other Institute committees to meet the identified needs and increase member value.
• Strengthen member retention and engage the next generation of vibration analysts through activities such as: targeted efforts, surveys, and focus groups
  
• Organize campaigns to contact lapsed members
• Maintain a list of active chapters and chapter officer contact information. Help defunct chapters to reorganize and become viable again.
• Provide at least one article per year in Vibrations Magazine highlighting membership activities, benefits, etc.
• Provide committee report at every Board of Directors Meeting by the Membership Chair, outlining major activities and issues
