The Vibration Institute is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the dissemination of practical information on evaluating machine behavior, particularly concerning the science of vibration and acoustic analysis and measurement. Our Academic Initiatives support this mission. The Academic/Research Track of the Institute’s annual Training Conference provides a double-blind, peer reviewed venue for sharing research and educational developments, affords students to the opportunity to present project work through the Student Poster session at the conference, and greatly subsidizes student conference expenses through sponsorships. Faculty may benefit from the Vibration Institute’s annual Academic Grants Program and the Institute’s cooperation with the ASME TCSV/IR group to define priorities for vibrations and acoustics research community. Vibration Institute Annual Training Conferences include industry papers, vendor exhibits, panel presentations, keynote lectures, and professional short courses.
Call for Academic/Research Papers (Academic/Research Track): a short paper (10 pages or less) will be peer reviewed by two or more reviewers, and will be published in the Annual Conference Proceedings, to be distributed to all conference attendees. Each paper presentation will be allotted 30 minutes.
Call for Student posters: to be displayed at the evening reception. Poster abstracts of up to 400 words with abstract acceptance. (Posters will not have corresponding proceedings papers. Students will have the option of giving a brief poster presentation during the Academic/Research Track sessions).
